Upper Left Corner
Instead of starting in the center. Could I start in the upper left corner I'm allowing 3" for framing so do I measure down 3" to start?

Absolutely! I think that's what people do with charts like this.

Three inches down and three inches over will work fine. You are stitching 100%, aren't you.

The reason I wouldn't want to do that is because you won't see much progress for a while. That corner is pretty dark.

Katy,
You DID include 3 inches more fabric on EACH side when you calculated how much fabric you would need BEFORE you ordered the fabric didn't you?

Sounds like a "quirky" question but I just want to make sure the fabric she ordered is large enough......

I've started in the upper left corner. I'm working my way down page 1 should I continue to page 7 or finish page 1?

Katy,
Where is page 7 located? BELOW Page 1?
It is your choice as to what page you wish to do next as you are finishing page 1: all stitchers have their own choices. I usually go to the page next to Page 1 , which is usually Page 2 so that I'm working the pattern ACROSS the fabric. BUT As I get close to the bottom and side of page 1, I will work cross stitching into the page BELOW and NEXT to Page 1 to avoid what I call "ridge lines" in the pattern which can be caused by not carrying some stitches from one page to the next. To help you understand about "ridge lines", go to the rigjt of the top chat where it says SEARCH on the RIGHT side. Type in "ridge lines" and read the chat in April 2015 titled Ridge lines. Hope this helps!
