Angel of Love
I stitched in memory of my mother. I changed the hair color, blouse, beads, and metallic floss.

Simon...she is beautiful. What a wonderful tribute to your mother. I don't have this design but have looked at it recently. I like your color choices....especially the beads. I compared the two and your beads seem to be more "prominent" as well as her hair and blouse!! I think you should be teaching other people how to do this craft!!! Carol

Thank you! I thought of her with every stitch. She used to color her hair to this color. She was a live in home health care aid, and the woman she lived with used to call her her red haired angel.

she's beautiful. I'm in the middle of doing a stitch picture of my late uncle. never thought to do one for my mother she's been gone since 1969 i'll have to think out that. I have several angel's patterns I may pick out one and do like you did and change the hair. I do have 1 picture of her maybe I could make copies and send it off to be turned into a stitch picture too. hmmm.

Always loved this pattern a great deal. I had a very difficult relationship with my mom, but will do Angel of Mercy and Angel of Mercy II in memory of each of my two sons, one gone as a baby and the other older. I love these designs and Marilyn's daughter gave me her mother's list of color changes for the baby and the child as mine were not Cauvasian. One was adopted as an infant and the other at 4. I muss them so much.

I love the Angels of Mercy and hope to stitch them some day. They would be a beautiful reminder of your children. Lots of white to stitch, but I love to stitch white.
