To Much Blue
Thank you for all the advice on this project. I think there is to much blue. That being said I want to change the blue present in Santa's bag. What color should I change it to?

How about a satin silver floss?

MY OPINION, AGAIN The package looks fine to me. How many different shades of blue are in that same area? Changing colors would involve more than just substituting one specific color. I would leave the blue there. It is distinctive enough from the darker shades of blue in the background.

Hello Katye....I have been reading your posts about this picture you are making. I am curious about something. How long have you been doing cross stitch?? I ask that simply because you started this design at the top and are coming down. There is a lot of blue in this. However, I would remind you that you are going to go into a great deal of red, white and other colors as you move down and approach the bottom. I believe the colors will all "balance out".....as they always do. I think in this instance you could be more "at peace" if you had started this design in the middle. Don't be anxious about this. The designer at Artecy is excellent...and many of us have completed her designs. Let the picture grow naturally. It is a really cool picture and I think you are going to love it. So....just take a deep breath and "trust the process"!

I agree about trusting the process. It's going to be awhile before you even get to the "blue package" and as you get further into the picture developing in front of you, you might see that the blue package works. On some of these big charts, such as yours, you might not be able to see the "big" picture yet.
I had to trust the process when I began to stitch the face of the woman in Sacred Hour; her face looked HORRIBLE! Like the creature from the black lagoon until I started completing more stitches of the face and it began to come together.

Bermuda...by the way....how is Sacred Hour coming along?? I am a very patient person. I am just hoping I can "maintain" that mode when I begin the Toy box. My feeling is it is going to seem like
"forever" until I complete it!!

P.S. I checked on Mary Lee the Shark. Yesterday in the evening she was roaming around Savannah, Georgia headed up to South Carolina. Evidently, she is doing well and just checking out the coast!

You can change it if you want. If you want to try something different, you can always take out the stitches if you don't like it.
