Not enough threads
Some threads are not enough. I want to make the order. The colour code is different from different brand of thread? What should I do?

Hello,

You will need to contact the manufacturer of the kit, which is Dimensions. They use their own brand of floss for their kits and the only way to get replacements is to get it from them directly. Here is the link to the "Contact Us" portion of their website. Just let them know what you need and they will get it taken care of. Thank you.

I have always loved this design! I like the colors and the subject. Somebody on this chat said that Cyberstitchers on the net has a conversion chart for Dimension to DMC threads. You might check it out.

jscmak, Unfortunately, many of us have used Dimension kits and ran out of thread. We are all pretty "frugal" with thread since we have stitched for a long time. Kristi gave you a good suggestion to contact them and see if you can get more. A very long time ago, I ran out of thread from a Dimensions kit. They did send me more thread...but not much. If they have a pattern that I "really love".....I will buy the kit and switch out the threads to DMC floss. It is horrible that we have to do such a thing....but one does what works! Good luck to you...

Like Jerseycrafter if I see a pattern that I love I will buy the kit and switch out the floss to DMC. I have a stash of all the DMC floss colors and it is all I stitch with. Some very small kits I have used their floss, but only if it is a small kit.

Same thing here, I'll switch the threads out to DMC for a chart kit. Basically when I buy a KIT it's to get the pattern; I switch out the floss and the fabric that comes with it. Hope you have luck with being able to get the extra floss you need to complete your project.

Hello,

I just finished this project, I find Dimensions doesn't supply enough floss. However they were terrific about sending more floss once I contacted them.

I tip if I may add my 2 cents worth, is try to do the backstitching as you go along. Waiting until the very end and then backstitching it all at once, was overwhelming because the project is so large.

Good Luck

P.S. it is a beautiful project once it is finished

I recently bought this kit even though it looked somewhat difficult. How long did it take to stitch it?

If you want to get more thread, you can look on the internet for conversions charts. I also believe "Just Cross Stitch" has a list of the coversion charts that I downloaded from DMC to Sullivans and DMC to Anchor. Hope this helps.

Here is where I got the coversion charts from "Just Cross Stitch" http://bit.ly/1ITFlqh. It has DMC to Presencia, DMC to Sullivans, and Sullivans USA to DMC.

You will find several different conversion charts for different types of floss at Cyberstitchers.com. I printed off all of their charts for the different flosses I use and have them in plastic sleeves in a 3 ring binder for reference. I have found they have the best charts for me.
