As the description says, it's a kit. It comes with 16 count fabric. You will need to buy 10 count Aida separately from some where else. ECS doesn't carry 10 Aida. It carries 11 count Aida and 8 count Aida.

You'll also need to convert the floss that comes with the kit to a different brand of floss like DMC, Anchor, or Sullivan's. You'll probably need more floss than what comes in the kit. 10 count Aida will be larger than 16 count Aida.

There is a conversion chart for Dimension kits at www.cyberstitchers.com that you can use.

I'm not an employee of ECS, just another stitcher helping out another stitcher.

Hello,

I think I just replied to your other post that is similar to this. This product is a kit that is already made when it comes to us. It's made Dimensions and we can't make any changes to what is inside of the kit. You don't have to use the fabric that comes in the kit but you would have to purchase a separate piece of fabric on top of already buying the kit. Also, Dimensions uses their own brand of floss for their kits, so if you need more floss, you would have to contact Dimensions via their website and see what they can do for you. Thank you.

Rather than going with a larger ct fabric, you might want to consider 'enlarging' your picture by using a couple of mats with a beautiful frame.

Can you stitch on fabric over 2 threads? If so, you might consider 25 ct Jobelan over 2. The piece will be bigger and the background finer than Aida which I think would enhance the piece.

Yes, you're going to need more thread and larger fabric, but the pattern is beautiful and would look gorgeous in back of your couch. You might still choose a couple of mats and maybe a gold filler which would be in character with the oriental pattern.

Let us know how you're progressing please.
