Flower Girl Pattern
I love the kit/pattern. The only thing that would help my 50-year old eyes would be at least part of the pattern be in color so it is easier to distinguish between parts of the picture. I ordered all 4 Flower girls and will probably go in and "color" parts of it so it is easier to see. Otherwise it has been good.

If ordered from Artecy. I saw that they posted on the board that they will convert to color for you.

They didn't mention a charge, but it should be worth contacting them.

Good Luck!

Hi sarahm10205, THIS IS THE POST FROM ARTECY

These Flower Girls designs are ours. Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately to due the printing costs we are unable to offer our printed designs in colour format
also many people prefer the black and white symbols as they make a working photocopy of the pattern and use highlighters etc to mark off stitches completed. This really helps to break up the symbols too.

We have a free service for customers that purchase our downloadable patterns that if they would prefer patterns with larger symbols or coloured patterns we are able to email an adjusted working copy through. We would be happy to do this for you too if you have access to a colour printer and would like to print these yourself.

If this is something you would be interested in you can email me at artecy@artecy.com we just need to see proof of payment for your original printed patterns, so if you can email a receipt through along with your request please.

Thanks and Best Wishes

Thank you for the info. I think I made a bigger deal than it really is. I am almost done with the first one. I will just color in some areas to make it a little easier on the next 3. I am going to use your idea of enlarging the pattern. I love the patterns. Our business does tea parties and in July we do a Fairy's in the Garden tea party for little girls and thought these might be cute decorations.

Thank you!!!

Sarah these Flower Girls will be darling for your business. My first reaction when I saw these cuties is that it would be a darling gift from a bride to her flower girls. I thought -- why didn't my aunt think about this when my cousins and I were in her wedding. That was almost sixty years ago. Unfortunately auntie is gone now. It would have been a wonderful keepsake memory.

Feeling daunted by 18 pages in a pattern I recently ordered, I have learned to enlarge the pattern, use coloured markers to hilite different coloured stitches, and most important, stitch one square at a time ( although I do wander into adjacent squares- but not far! )

DO NOT COUNT THE NUMBER OF PAGES IN A PATTERN. Count he number of stitches in the pattern. The more pages the larger the squares on the graph and the clearer the symbols.

My next project is going to be a monkey hanging from a tree. It is 106 x 147 stitches. That is just a little smaller than the pattern pictured here. The entire pattern is printed on 3/4 of a letter size piece of paper. Definitely a challenge to work with. My plan is to magnify each quarter of the pattern about 400% before I start stitching.

WARNING: I always make at one or two copies of my patterns. The original gets put away in a safe place for future reference.
