want to convert fabric
I recently ordered Hare's Spring design and the model was stitched on 36ct. linen ,using 1 strand of floss over 2 linen threads. My eyesight being poor, I would like to stitch this design on 16 or 18 ct. Aida . So my question is , if I use the 16 or 18 ct. Aida, must I go from 1 strand of floss to 2 strands of floss instead of the 1 strand for the 36 ct.linen? It seems to me the 1 strand would be too small . please help! thanks so much.Norma King

I have this and the other seasonal kits. I use two threads on both 16 and 18 count fabric. Then again, I have only been doing counted cross stitch for 64 years

I am just an old lady in this chat group. I am not an employee of ECS.

also if you click on the pattern the fabric calculator comes up. you can put in you stitch count and it will tell you how much bigger the finished stitch will be. I just love the calculator it save me so many headaches. was never good with math.

Yes, you will need to use 2 strands to get satisfactory coverage.
