wrong animal
I'm sure by now the company has realized that the picture is an elk, not a moose. Both animals are gorgeous and the mountains in the back are near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Hopefully no one believes this is a moose! ms

Funny thing is, the moose is called an elk in Europe! But yes, this is definitely NOT a moose!

I remember when I lived in New Jersey a co-worker came up to me all excited swearing up and down she saw a moose in the road that morning! A moose. In New Jersey. I asked her how big it was and she held her hand up a little over 3 feet.

I then tried to explain that moose are FAR bigger than that (they can reach over 6 feet at the shoulder) and since it was July at the time what she saw was more likely a white-tailed buck in velvet. At that stage their antlers are rather thick and blobby which could be mistaken for a moose bull's wide palmated set. Nooooo, it was a MOOSE, she said.

Ok, have it your way. You saw a three foot high moose in New Jersey:P

Hello,

That was probably our mistake? The designer, StitchX Designs, uses numbers as their titles and so I think we named this one when we placed it on our website. We obviously don't see many Moose or Elk here in Dayton, OH so I think we just guessed? Lol! Thank you for letting us know about this mistake though :) I have corrected it in our system so it should list as an Elk now :) Thank you again!

As an old lady and a former Ohioan (hate to.say "former" as Ohio seems to last forever), the very thought of a Moose or an Elk in Dayton sent me into incredible spasms of laughter! A 3-foot tall Moose is even better!

I temember when a co-worker wrote to the Challenge butter company, to ask for a poster of the picture of a deer on the sides of their trucks (which is a variation of the famous painting called "Monarch of the Glen". They had none, but they sent her, to her delight, the giant decal that they use on the trucks...and they advised her that "that deer is an elk". Laughed then, too, but not as hard as now!

To make it even more complicated, there is a town named Moose in this area of Wyoming. The title could be Blue Skies Elk in Moose.
