Sweet Dreams
My absolutely most favorite designer too!!!! Hope she keeps going for years. What I like is she gets the faces looking right which most of designers can't seem to do. And I like the embellishments with beads and special threads, etc. Just finished The Quilter. And just discovered The Snow Queen which I can't wait to do.

I think this is a Lavender and Lace design by Marilyn Leavitt Imblum. If so, I'm sad to say that Marilyn passed away some time ago. But her beautiful patterns live on and her daughter is a designer as well.
I have many of her designs and have completed about 4 of her angels.

My mother has two of the angels that I did in her living room. Oh I hope Marilyn knows how much stitching-joy she is responsible for!

Marilyn's daughter is the designer of the Mirabilia designs! Those are beautiful also!

If my memory serves me correctly, there was a discussion with Marilyn and she stated that she was in the process of designing a beautiful bride and then she heard in the news of the death of Polly Klass, a young girl who had been kidnapped and murdered, I think in 1995 or thereabout. Marilyn designed the "bride" into an angel that is holding a young girl's hand and that is how Marilyn's "Angel of Mercy 1" came into being.

OH I did that one too. Wonderful! She really was a compassionate person, wasn't she!

Yes, she was! I just looked it up. She passed away in 2012. She's probably still designing up there,,,,,

mcelhaney, I am also a big fan of Lavender and Lace. Marilyn Imblum is also my favorite designer. I have also made several of her pieces, but, my all time "best" favorite is Santa of the Forest. I completed it several years ago and just loved every minute of working on it. I worked it on 32 count raw natural linen. (Actually...that is where I fell in love with working on linen!) It would be pretty difficult to constantly work on that Santa without keeping "Christmas in your heart". I have so many of her patterns in my stash I will need to live to be 120 to complete them all. I have already told my family "I am not going anywhere until I finish them!!!!
