I saw a reply from clpatt123 in answer to Cheryl's post. She mentioned that she is going back to Q_Snap frames. I switched over to them years ago. I've been doing ornaments a lot. Some of them use various dimensions of fabric, 8" x 8", 7 x 7, 9 x 9, etc. I don't like using a frame any smaller than the 8 inch Q-Snap. Therefore I sew strips of muslin to all four sides of the fabric to put in the frame. I also stitch strips of muslin to larger pieces also for the larger frames. I've seen the same suggestion in the British cross stitch magazine known as Cross Stitch Gold.
