Lucky find
I was looking to find frames on garage sale sites, found one I really liked for 5 bucks when I go pick up I see the picture inside was cross stitched, when I got it home I messaged lady and asked if she did it, she said no, she didn't offer any other info.

Good find, nice frame, lovely cross stitch! Some day.....hopefully MANY years from now......some lucky person will be able to purchase a nice frame from the garage/yard sale that my husband or kids will have of my cross stitch projects. That's were I see my projects going......either a sale or a landfill. When we sold our home one daughter took my Longaberger baskets and my other daughter took my American Girl doll collections for her daughter. But they've already told me they don't want my cross stitch projects.....ungrateful brats!! (haha)

ungrateful kids: a few years ago my son Ben looked up at the plate rails in my living room holding a few of our collected restaurant china collect on and mentioned that if I knew anyone who liked "that stuff", I was welcome to leave it to someone else when I died.

Pffffff... we have a collection of 2000 + pieces some of which were used on railroads and sell for upwards of $100/piece. I laughed at him and said maybe not as that would be a good portion of his and Wendy's inheritance. I did warn him to find someone who was familiar with restaurant china, not just an auctioneer or estate same. Heck, we have enough pieces to have our own show.

It's a nice piece. That was nice of her to let you have it. I know the frame cost you but she could have charged extra for the piece. Good luck for you!

I think a great Idea, the problem I have is a lot of what I do won't fit the standard sizes. I have a mat cutter, but frames made to order are expensive.

Exactley, frames are to much. I have framed all of my work on my own. I gave my mother a very large angel that i framed about 10 years ago and it still looks great, some did not turn out as perfect but works for me. Wish I could afford professional but I cant, so I make do with what's have😀

U are really lucky to find such treasure in a garage sale. I bet you that the pattern cost that much without even the material and the time to make it. Have fun

Misscrossstitc I know, I'm just curious to know who stitched it and how they would feel about it being sold in a garage sale
