Although this is a beautiful pattern, when i made the purchase i thought i was buying a kit and it was only he pattern. To get the things needed to make it will cost an additional $56. That is alot of money for one project and i had purchased 3 others at the same time. It is also quite a large one.

Hello dkmommy,

We sell many different products on our website and the best way to tell what a certain product is, is to look at the “Product Type” information that is located to the right of the picture of the product on our website. Below are the categories and an explanation about them.

Product Type: Cross Stitch Patterns - means it's just a counted cross stitch design and the supplies will have to be purchased separately for it. The supplies, such as the floss and fabric will be listed right underneath of the pattern on our website. So, if you choose, you can purchase everything at one time or you can just select the items you need based on our stash at home and go from there. The stitch count for the designs is also listed and it's usually found to the right of the picture of the design.

Product Type: Cross Stitch Kit - means it's a counted cross stitch kit that comes with everything you will need to stitch that design. If an item is a kit, it will also give the name of the manufacturer, such as Dimensions or Janlynn and a supply list will not be listed for these items since everything already comes inside the kit.

Product Type: Stamped Cross Stitch Kit - means it's a stamped cross stitch kit and the fabric has the design already stamped on it. The floss will also be included since it’s a kit.

Product Type: Stamped Item - means it's an item where the fabric has the design stamped on it but the supplies such as the floss and needles, etc...will have to be purchased separately.

Product Type: Stitchable Items – means that these are items that you can actually stitch on. So these items will consist of bibs, towels, bookmarks, tote bags, etc… Designs and floss will have to be purchased separately for these.

I hope this information helps a bit :) If you need to speak with someone in regards to your specific order, you can contact us via phone during business hours or by via email anytime and a customer service rep can assist you with either getting the items returned or canceling the order if you haven't already received it.

Good morning, dkmommy! Like Kristi said, check the 'Product Type' so that you know for certain what you are purchasing. Also, if it is a kit there won't be a list of supplies - floss, fabric. There are ways to reduce the expense all at once. Purchase only 1 skein of floss to start with and then get additional skeins as you get close to running out. I've done that with my Mystic Stitch project that I am working on. This particular pattern calls for 22 skeins of dark navy which looks like it is the background. Instead of stitching it all, use a dark navy or black fabric. Only use the navy floss where it is used within the design. That would save a fair amount on floss. Some of the stitchers on here will do that just so they don't have to do all of that stitching in one color. This will be a long term project due to it's size. So, the amount of money spent will be spread out over a long time of stitching enjoyment. Hope this helps!

Hi there

U can go back and call customer service from the top and give your card numbers to buy the rest of the cross stitch supplies that the pattern is asking for so U to finish it. Have fun.
