stocking
This is the perfect picture I had in mind for a milk and cookies stocking. I'm wondering if this is a kit, and what size the Aida cloth is. Has anyone ever adapted this into a stocking?

Hello,

This is s not a kit and it just a counted cross stitch pattern. The best way to tell what a product is on our website is to look at the Product Type that is located to the right of the picture. If it states "Product Type: Cross Stitch Pattern" that means it's just a counted cross stitch design and all of the supplies that you will need for the design will have to be purchased separately. If it states "Product Type: Cross Stitch Kit" then it's a kit and everything that you will for that design will come together in a package made by the manufacturer.

This design is a Heaven and Earth Design so it's quite large and all HEAD are stitched on 25ct. White Evenweave over 1. The floss that is needed for this design is listed right underneath of the picture of the product so, if you choose, you can purchase the floss at the same time you purchasing the design. Or you can just purchase the flosses that you need based on your stash at home. If you are wanting to use a different count fabric, you are more than welcome to do so :) In order to find out the sizing dimensions, just click on the Fabric Calculator option that will located under the Search Box. You will have to be on the products page in order to see the Fabric Calculator come up. From there, just type in the stitch count of the design (which can be found to the right of the picture under the Product Type) and then enter in what fabric you are wanting to use for the design and it will give you the dimensions as far as the finished stitched size and what size fabric piece you will need.

Hope this information helps :) Thank you!

Thanks, Kristi! I did finally figure all that out after I posted the questions. Have you even seen anything similar to this picture in stocking form?

Sure thing, rdbksmom :) On our website, I don't see an actual stocking with this specific type of design on it. We have tons of Santa themed stockings available but I didn't see any that had Santa with milk and cookies :( I am sure there are some out there, we just don't have them available on our website.

Hopefully, another stitcher sees this post and can help you a little bit better? Maybe they have come across one in the past and can give you some info on it? Fingers crossed!!

Hi I did this as a stocking & there is an actual pattern for a stocking on HAED. You don't have to make modification to this pattern. I got my pattern from my X-stitch dealer here in town but I'm sure it's on the HAED web site. It's just a pattern though not a kit. Works up beautifully & looks good in a shadow box or there is instructions with it on how to make a stocking. It's beautiful when finished & doesn't take as long as a full picture. Hope this helps.

Thanks, terryd!!! How long ago did you do the stocking?!

To rdbksmom, I did this stocking about 3 years ago. I just looked it up & it's still on HAED website. Look under designer patterns for Gelsingse (1st name Dona) & it's on page 6 of that site. It's 19.00. Done on 25ct 1over1 as all HAEDs are. I did mine on Ivory color as too much white on white is hard on the eyes. Took me about 9 months to complete but I took some short breaks. Hope this helps. I would show you it finished but don't know how to send a photo.
