Background
I am not familiar with cross stitch patterns that have a background, are we only cross stitching the animals?

Some do, some don't...but the pattern includes the background. :)

Hello,

You will stitch everything in this design. It's what they call a "cover-all"design. It's all done in full stitches but every square of your fabric will be stitched. Hope this helps :) Thank you!

You can't make me! :)

This looks like a beautiful piece but definitely for an advanced stitcher. That background is composed of many colors and will be challenging. Good luck and happy stitching.

I love encouragement! :)

Like previously said this is a pattern for an advanced stitcher not a newbie. The background will be quite a chore. Love the pattern though.

Like our friend Vcess said you can't make me stitch the background. LOL You always give me a chuckle Vcess. As the old saying goes "if we don't laugh we will cry a lot".

have a good weekend all.

Oh darn..looks like I missed vcess's comedy hour again but she has plenty of followers. Any how I have been busy stitching...so slow going on background and nothing to see. I might need to back away for awhile and find some small project to do..I looked at Scarlet Quinces designs, people working YEARS on a project..I think I will just hush:)

IDEA -- you could stitch it on a brownish/beige overdyed fabric and eliminate stitching the background. don't think it would look as nice but it would save a lot of stitching.
