This pattern is too difficult for me. I would like to return please.
Thank you,

Well...that's different. I suggest you check the return policy under "Customer Service". Kristi will explain further, I'm sure.

Indeed!

Speaking of returns, I returned an item to American Girls on 1 June and can expect my refund by the end of this month!?!?!?!?!? They are a Williams-Sonoma company and I have to call about my refund every time I return something to them. I need a spreadsheet to keep track pretty soon. Keeping track of dates, receipts, checking accounts - it's all too much. That's why people order from Amazon whenever possible.

No reflection on ECS. I have experienced only outstanding customer service here and have never had to return anything.

What's with all the interest in Serenity Prayers lately. I thought that was a thing of the 80ties. Only goes to show- everything comes back.

Isn't returning patterns going a little too far? Unless of course the wrong one was shipped.

Hello mshumate1941,

You will need to contact our customer service department either by phone or email and they can get a return started for you. They will just need your order number and then they will give you a Return Authorization number and instructions on how to return the item back to us for a refund. Our number is 800-800-8517 Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm EST and our email is sales@everythingcrossstitch.com. Hope this information helps :) Thank you!

I'm surprised 123 would allow any returns, except for damage or wrong items, because of copyright issues. How do you know someone isn't copying and returning. You got something you don't like or wasn't what you expected? Do better research before you buy!

Miss Kitty, I totally agree with you. There is entirely too much returning going on these days. I know that these items are being resold and I do not appreciate the thought of paying full price for an item that's been in someone else's possession for I don't know how long. Rumor has it that mattresses are being resold as new after the thirty day trial period.

ECS this is not directed at your company or return policy just a general opinion of mine.

I think we can all afford to "bite the bullet" where a pattern is concerned. We are talking a couple of bucks here.

If I buy a kit that I find is just too difficult to work I put it away as a 'someday' project :) Someday somewhere I will work it! If not I might hear of a friend of a friend who is looking for something like it and I just send it along the line.

So have I, dancy. Then I remove the mental block and begin working a small area and all of sudden it is "easy" to work. After all it's just cross stitch and worked like any other project - one stitch at a time. Size overwhelms me because I don't want something that takes 10 years to finish at my age. Gotta run and water my pots out back. DH has a medical appointment. Wish I could stitch.....
Actually being on a tight schedule makes stitching so much more fun. Then it's really a treat when I can devote a few hours.

I guess I have become too much of a cynic. Like someone else said if I get something that is too hard I just put it back until another time. With copyright laws and everything I can't imagine be able to return something like a pattern that is copyrighted. it is too easy to make a copy and then try to return the original with some excuse but they still have the pattern they wanted. Not saying it is the reason here, but like I said I am such a cynical person in this day and age.

I would like to know how ECS handles these situations. Most patterns are not that expensive to worry about returning them.

syagel, I totally agree. I bet that you saw it all during your career! :)
