Is it just me???
Hi friends - is it just me or are others of you ordering patterns you love every couple weeks? I find patterns I absolutely love and want to do and put them in my wish list for a couple/few weeks but they just seem to be calling to me to buy them. I wonder sometimes if I am personally keeping ECS in business. I know I won't live long enough to do the patterns/projects that I already have in my stash but then along comes another one I have to have. I sure hope I am not alone. It is so nice to have my mailman hand me a package from ECS that I have been waiting for since about 5 minutes after I sent the order. Have a great w/end and good stitching!!!

CHERYL -- I am the opposite. I am almost embarrassed to say that I have never ordered a pattern from ECS. In fact, it has been over two years since I have purchased a pattern from anywhere. However, I have downloaded free patterns. I also made a resolution to work on one project at a time. I was doing well for over a year. That is not happening. I currently have three WIPs -- two small pieces from Artecy and one from a free site.

Cheryl, I'm with you on this topic. I've seen so many and ordered some that I'd love to do. Then I read the chit chat and someone says, "it's out of date" "not printed anymore". Then I look at my Wish List and I order a couple more.
I told my husband that if I die before him just throw them in the casket and I'll take them with me and keep the casket closed at the wake. Ha. Ha.
I have about 6 going at different places in the house.
Believe me, you are not alone.

Of course, I am with you ladies, too. I have quite a few on my wish list here, but have put myself on a no buy budget because if I live to be 537 years old, I will never complete my stash. I try so hard to decrease the stash, but I do have a person that each wish list pattern was selected for. I work hard and long at every project, but also wonder if I am just a crazy old lady...bwah hah hah!

clpatt123 - I was actually thinking the same thing about me! Yes, I'm sure ECS loves me buying patterns on a regular basis, but like you, I always say that I probably won't live long enough to do them all! I guess you could say I have a cross stitch pattern addiction! LOL I just love them all! BUT in favor of our point of view, I will say this. There have been at least three occasions where I told myself to be patient and leave items on my wishlist until my stash starts widdling down, and when I went back to order those items they were either sold out or discontinued! So I say, if you see it and want it, get it! :)

P.S. I say all this as I'm already contemplating my next order! lol

I have so many patterns and projects going that I will have to live to 120 years old to even think about finishing them. I have several on my wish list, but am fighting the urge to buy them for now. Will probably buy some soon again though.

I also do quilting and have tons of patterns and fabrics with that hobby also. guess I have a sickness. LOL

Have a nice weekend all!

I just bought a project from here. I hope to do it some time this year but no guarantees...lol

Oh my goodness I was thinking about how much I have spent on patterns when I could have bought a kit and have something to show for it. I can't resist..Right now I have six patterns in my wish list and about fifty in my "stash" I have been working on Viktoriya for a year now so buying another pattern is silly but there is always tomorrow (smile) You are not alone!

I believe you all are partly responsible for my pattern addiction! Too often someone posts a picture,or mentions a great pattern on this chat line, and out of curiosity I just have to see what you are talking about. Invariably I discover a whole new site that I may never have found , and usual a new pattern that I just have to have! Not my fault !!! Enjoy your weekend!

I feel that this is a great sickness. I enjoy going thru my stash every now and then. It pushes me to get my projects done faster. When I am getting close to finishing one, I go to my stash to try to decide which one to do next. I have 2 big totes full of charts and material, and 22 binders of charts. Then I have 2 small totes full of kits. When I'm gone, my daughters will inherit all of this. This stash has been decades in the making, and I love it. Have fun stitching.

I'm with you, on ordering/putting on wish list. I too will never live long enough to complete them--I guess its knowing I/we have plenty of "new" projects to choose from. For me it "helps" keep the stitcvhing "bug" alive, especially when I think I'll never finish my current project. Besides the variety and shear number of patterns offered on ECS just "adds" to the addiction--gotta have that one!!!
