how to long stitch
I am stitching a yucca cactus. The base of the plant has long lines fanning out. The instructions say to long stitch with 1 strand. There are 4 different colors which will form the bottom part of the plant...pretty. But does the needle go thru at the top of the line back to front, carry the thread down to the bottom, and then put the needle thru to the back of the stitching. And then the fan at the bottom will be a series of loose straight threads anchored at the top and bottom, nothing else anchoring them?

Yes! You've got it! That is the deal with long stitch. You can also look on YouTube as there may be a video of how to do long stitches. There are many videos there about stitching and for the most part, they are great.

I am not an employee of ECS, but just a stitcher in this chat group.that they host.
