Pretty Kit, But....
This is a very pretty design, but there are NOT enough strands of each color to complete it! Some colors have enough thread, but several do not. They need to increase their thread! Anyone else find this to be the case?

It is always that you are short sometimes or plus of the floss. For U to get to go and call the company or the designers that produce the kit or the cross stitch that U had bought and ask them for some free extra floss to finish your design. Have fun.

Janis, I'm sorry you are running out of thread. Go to the top of this chat and type in "Dimension Kits". You will see what the other stitchers say about this company.

Been there done that with Dimension kits but I am just very careful about any waste. I enjoy the kits because everything a person needs is there and one doesn't have a lot of thread left over to keep stashed for another time. This "great" pattern has so any colors it should be easy to vary a bit. I would love to see your finished project..

This is why I never ever order kits anymore. This happened to me twice. I will not allow it to happen to me again. And it seems to me the quality of the thread is sorely lacking also. It literally shreds as you are attempting to pull it through the fabric. Aida fabric is in most kits. It's tough to work with as it requires a little more "tugging" to get the needle through. And it's the needle provided in the kit.

I wonder how long it will take companies to understand that by trying to be frugal (cheap) they are losing money.

Dimensions, are you listening to this? You are the most guilty.

Thanks for the replies, everyone, I really appreciate it! Betsy0910, you are SO right! I can't tell you how many times my thread has just shredded apart while I was stitching, and that's what causes the waste and creates the problem of running out of thread before the project is finished. They need better quality thread, for sure! These kits cost quite a bit, so you'd think the standard of quality would be a little higher. Listen up, Dimensions!

Been there, done that. That's why I don't do Dimension kits. If I order the Dimension kit, it's because I
REALLY, REALLY want the pattern. Then when I get the kit, I change out the floss to DMC as well....

I don't blame you, Bermuda - sometimes I do that too, because the DMC thread doesn't shred the way the thread in the Dimensions kits does.
