I would suggest to go youtube. that's what I did on my first time :)

I would use google.com on how to attach beads. I use a thread color close to the color of bead u r using.

scarletquince also offers great advice. The pattern is so beautiful. I bought several fairy and mermaid patterns last year. I am working on one of the Celtics right now and am looking forward to the bead work. It'll be awhile yet though.

Be sure to use floss that is close in color to the beads. Good luck and let us know how it's going.

Very often I have used thelovelyarray and Carolyn Mazzeo on you tube. They do really close up videos on beading, parking, speciality stitches e.t.c... You can even ask them to make a video on how to do something you're not sure of.

Once you've watched the above referenced videos you'll feel more comfortable with beads. Personally, I just use one strand of the floss that's closest to the color of the beads. And if the beads are metallic, I usually use Kreinik metallics to attach them.
