Type of cross stitch
I am wondering if this is stamped cross stitch or counted cross stitch. What type of fabric is used?

I understand that it is cross stitch but there are two different kinds of cross stitch. There is counted cross stitch and then there is cross stitch where the pattern is stamped on the fabric. By saying that it is just cross stitch doesn't answer the question however, by stating that it is not stamped tell me more. What is white Quaker cloth? I never heard of that. I was thinking that it would be Aida. Are the two similar?

Quaker cloth is done with the stitches over two squares at a time, where it would be the same size using 14 count aida, which would have every stitch over one square each. I use 14 count for the SIX stockings I am doing for family.

I am not an employee of ECS, just a stitcher trying to answer your question. You could always just Google Quaker cloth (sigh) and see some.
