Wow. You seem angry. If a retailer is out of stock for a pattern that I really want, I would consider that their wholesaler/distributor may not have it, as most retailers get all of their stock this way. Then, I would seek out other sources for the pattern, googling it and then going to every site that has or had listed it, even ebay. You can also try the facebook group ISO Cross Stitch Patterns and All Things Related. It is a group of women who expend an effort to locate patterns for others.

I am not an employee of ECS, just a stitcher in this chat group that they host.

The last (very last, probably never) thing that I would do...disparage the retailer.
As a counted cross stitcher for over 64 years, I happen to know that this particular design is not available easily, as the maker may not be publishing any longer, due to death. (She died). Sorry.

Well said, Su!

This Chitchat is for stitchers to give suggestions and opinions to other stitchers.

I know that it is frustrating to want a specific pattern that is out of stock and possibly discontinued.

If you want an answer regarding a specific product you should contact Customer Service directly.

Sheesh take it down a notch. It's not ECS's fault. And remember you get more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Way to go Su!!. I searched all over several websites and the only one I found that has it is Salt and Pepper out of Texas. Everything else said it is unavailable so I would imagine that it is no longer going to be printed and Salt and Pepper has one left.

Like Su said ECS just sells the patterns. They are not responsible if the designer company no longer has them available. "Get over it"!! ECS has some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with and they are always helpful with our questions.

Hello,

I apologize that we do not have this pattern available and I do understand your frustration. Please understand that we are just an online retailer. We get our patterns from a distributor, which is Hoffman, and they get the designs from the designers and manufacturers directly. We are not told when a certain pattern comes back into stock as I am sure Hoffman isn't told either. Both of us are at the mercy of the designer/manufacturer when it comes to designs being out of stock or discontinued. As far as I know, this item hasn't been discontinued so I think Hoffman is working on getting more in their inventory which is why it's probably taking longer than usual. You are more than welcome to contact Lavendar and Lace to see where else they are selling this design. Their website is www.tiag.com.

Thank you.

Kristi, it's a shame your customers don't have your patience and good manners! But I guess I'm not one to talk...just used the very same type of response on credit card company, secure server, they asked for a detailed statement, timed me out while I was typing! Waiting times on hold are ridiculous...afraid I took it personally...frustration with our electronic world is suffocating good manners. You can't trust a phone call received and the limitations online will sometimes bring rage to your heart and tears to your eyes. I, myself, am becoming a raging crybaby! :)

VCESS, we must be living parallel lives today. I am so frustrated, overwhelmed and feel totally helpless because I am at the mercy of all these incompetent jerks. I don't even want to get into details but it included half the spectrum of services I use. I am especially upset with our dealership and a couple of medical offices. They get rich from people like us but treat us like dirt. No customer service skills, professional attitude and manners. I understand my mother so much better now. I would get impatient with her when she related these stories to me but old people do not receive respect or common courtesy. I feel so overwhelmed.
I hope that things will get better soon for both of us.

Yes, I have to agree, Kristi is a gem. Thank you, Kristi, we need people like you in our lives.

Tex, it really does make me feel better that others are just as frustrated by idiocy perpetrated on the public by big business, as I am--and they all seem BIG to me these days--thanks! Common sense seems to be hiding somewhere just beyond my reality. I can't even get a simple refill without some child clerk causing a two day delay just because their computer has default on ONE page and she just skips asking the question. Thank goodness I asked a question when I didn't hear from ANYBODY--not the pharmacy, not the doctor...since they can't seem to get correct fax address...she typed that incorrectly, too! Wrong email line for the wrong doctor! Yikes! By the time you track everyone's errors, you're out of medication--even starting 7 days ahead.

Credit card company is usually helpful...not this time...another child clerk who didn't ask questions sent me down a path that has me ready to cancel all accounts!!!

You were talking about the IRS fake calls, the scammers are into credit cards too...probably got my accounts from the last raid on govt agency computers and a some other event that I can't recall the details for...way too many "events"!!!! I'm going to bed...wonder if they will ever make a sugar-free m&m...could have used a 3-lb bag today! Battlestations again tomorrow!!! :)
