hi if you read the description page it says needlepaints are no longer made.
there is a conversion chart for needlepaints to DMC floss
some of the colors you want you can get them from stoneycreek
and the others you can get from 123stitch.

The supplies that we have listed underneath the pattern are the ones we have available for this design. The "Description" tab states what other items are needed to complete the design and if they are available. I try my best to include the items we have for supply lists and I make sure that if we do not have a specific supply available, I post that information in the Description of the item so it's there.

The Needlepaints floss were made by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum for her designs as she could not find the range of purples she needed in the DMC floss. They are no longer produced. Some stores may have limited stock available but they are getting harder to find.


You could Google to see if there are conversions to DMC available now, but they will not be exact matches.

You can find the Needlepaints orchids and lavender blues online, but the "robin's eggs blue" line is no longer being made - you might find some on a stash sale, but must be patient (and expect some bidding wars).

Try a search for other floss (such as "needlepaints substitute robin's egg blue"). If you are fussy about color (I am) you might have to buy several different lines of teal blues to find what you like, and change the fabric. Just have fun with it, and set the project aside if you aren't ready to hunt for the threads.

Ignorance is bliss. I ordered all five Celtic girls last summer, I think, with the supplies and love the colors. I didn't know that the designer had used different floss/colors. I'm somewhat concerned about using old floss, so DMC it is.
Good luck finding what you are looking for. If you have the time you are sure to find it somewhere on the internet or yard sales.

I have been trying to collect the supplies for this project and I am stuck on what the Petite Rainbow Braid from Rainbow Gallery number PB03 is, an where to find it. Any help will be appreciated.

I googled "Petite Rainbow Braid PB03" and a ton of websites came up that sell this item. Stoney Creek, Nordic Needle, Stitching Bits and Bobs, etc. I would type in "Petite Rainbow Braid PB03" into your search engine and you should get the same results that pop up so you can order it :) Thank you.
