I have not done cross stick in more years than I can remember.
I always had a wooden holder to keep the fabric stiff.
do u still have them to order, and it this item a counted cross stitch or is it stamped on the fabric.

thank you for your help.
I want to get back into doing cross stitch, but I want

Hello,

We do have stretcher bars and wooden frames that hold your project in place while stitching. You can find these items under the "Item Categories" at the top of the page and then clicking on "Stitching Accessories" I am not sure what specific product you used in the past but take a look at what we have and see if anything looks familiar to you.

As far as the design posted in your post, that is a counted cross stitch design. We do have stamped designs on our website and you can find those by clicking on the link to your left, under the search bar that states, "Stamped Projects." That area of our website will have all of our stamped products. Hope this information helps!! This message board is a great place to ask other stitchers questions and advice :)

When I started stitching I just held it in my hand which seems to be the Scandinavian way but after subscribing to a BritishnCross Stitch mag I saw that using a hoop was the thing so gave it a go and have never looked back. I began with a wooden hoop but quickly found out the plastic Pony ones suited me because they ridged into each other and stayed put. I have all sizes but the most used are 6 and 8 inch. They do make a mark and I don't know why but it will wash out when you are finished.
