2 Separate Fabrics
I can't tell by looking at the pattern picture. Is the tree stitched on a separate piece of fabric from the village? Also, what size backing is needed?

Nana Jan, If you click on the Village Tree...on the page where it lists the supplies, click on the 2nd tab which gives the description. You will see that the recommended fabric is a 28 count Antique White Jobelan. The design is on one fabric piece. The designer made the tree look "closer" than the other objects in the picture. You could have this picture framed as shown...or since you are asking about a backing, I am thinking you might want it as a wall hanging??!! Good luck.

Hello Nana Jan,

Jerseycrafter is correct in her response to your post. It's all on one piece of fabric so it was designed to have the tree look like it's up front with the village scene in the background. It's stitched on 28ct. Jobelan fabric but you can choose whatever fabric you would like. I don't think the leaflet includes any type of finishing instructions as far as backing or anything like that so you would have to figure that part out?

U can creat this cross stitch to be hang on the wall or for U to put it on a desk or a cushion. Have fun.
