Cross stitch journal
I'm enclosing a picture of my latest journal, number 11. I'm wondering how you keep track of what you have done and for whom.

My little journal is about 3.5" X 6.5" so doesn't take up much room. It's just called "Needlework Projects"

Good idea. I need to do something like this. I have a binder full of cross stitching I have completed. Good job...happy stitching!

I started a couple years ago taking pictures of my finished projects and have them saved in a folder called "Cross Stitch" in my phone. I went back to some people I had given projects to and asked them to take a picture for me and send it to me for my records. Hard to believe how many things we give to others!

I do this too, except I do more of a photo album. I take a picture of my completed project after it is framed, and then underneath it I write the title and the date I finished it. If I gave it away as a gift, I make a note who I gave it to.

It would probably go the way of the second kid's baby book...I'm ashamed to say... :)

What??? In the trash? I have three languishing in the deep recesses of a cabinet. I never got past age three months. Tomorrow just never came! :) These things were not meant for procrastinators.

Glad I am not the only one that never made it far on the baby book idea! However, the nice thing with the cross stitch is that at least I don't finish them too quickly, it is pretty easy to keep up on.

I never found keeping up the baby books hard at all. Just a couple of minutes sitting down with a pen each week worked for me. I honestly couldn't understand other moms who would complain how hard it is! I found it easy:-)

I guess there are those of us who like anything to do with pen and paper and those of us who find it a real chore to even make a grocery list. We can't all be the same.
I liked doing the baby books until they were around 4 and then I would rather use those precious spare moments on myself. I think they call it "me time" today so from then on the quality of the books definitely took a nose dive, but my nails were nicely manicured!
The reason I must keep a xstitch journal is because I give away most of my projects and also used to do a lot of cards. It was necessity rather than anything else.
