Happy Harvest
I use 11 count aida for all my projects and make then into hanging banners. The 11 count is much easier on the eyes.

This sounds like a good idea for me. I sometimes struggle to see 14 count. How many strands of floss do you use?

I use three strands and then two strands for the backstitch.

This is so cute..kids? Grandkids? Mine are all grown so the seasons aren't as much fun..

No, no kids or grandkids. I just do this for myself and because I love to cross stitch and don't have any place to frame all this stuff, I make them into banners for one side of my fridge and then change them out monthly or whenever the urge hits. I don't necessarily do it seasonally just whenever. Actually I haven't made this Happy Harvest yet but it's on my wish list. Maybe next year for Halloween.

What a great idea..I think it is time to get back to stitching some things that don't take forever to complete and make you smile..

How do you make the banner? That is a terrific idea to hang them on the 'fridge!

Get two magnetic hooks, and a thin piece of dowling, maybe 12 inches or thereabouts. After the piece is finished I sew up the sides and then make a 1-1/2 inch seam at the top and then thread the dowl through. Just be careful not to sew up the ends of the seam (like I did one time and had to rip it out!) I'm sure there are other ways but this works for me as this one side of my fridge faces into the entry of my kitchen. Let me know how it turns out.
