Tortoise Cross Stitch Pattern
Good Morning! I am creating a small crotchet/knitted blanket for our school. The tortoise, NOT A TURTLE, is our mascot and I would like to see if this pattern will translate sufficiently to a square approximately 9" x 9".

Thank you for your time.

I'm NOT AN EMPLOYEE BUT I DO HAVE AN OPINION ON THIS ISSUE

I think that if you use basic knit or crochet that you can make a plain blanket Then you can use this pattern to embroider over the finished piece. OR, you can just use the graph to stitch while you knit or crochet.

Let us know how it works out

The size would depend on the size hook or needle you`re using, the yarn size, as well as how well you stitch to gauge. I`d suggest making several test swatches using different yarns, needles and hooks and calculating the size according to the stitch count of the pattern, which will help you figure out whether or not the size will work.

Once you have that figured out, you can either change colours as you work to work the design right into the blanket, or you can use duplicate stitch for knitting or cross stitch for single crochet to work over your knitted or crocheted piece.

I learned something today. There is a difference between a turtle and a tortoise!

Thanks very much for the information. It appears as if this should work, and I can adjust the size of the squares to accommodate the pattern. Can anyone tell me the size of the grid? Height & Length.

Thanks!
