What is everyone "working on" ??!!
Stitchers, We have been absorbed in some community "goings on" and I have been away from the Chat Room. I will soon complete the Enchanted Alphabet. I recently ordered (from ECS) Fall Tree by Mystic Stitch. I am convinced that this photograph came from Shenandoah Valley (Highland County). This setting looks familiar to me, particularly the fence. I will enjoy working all of the "oranges"!! Also, I ordered Elizabeth by Mirabella. Our 14 year old grand daughter just loves this picture. She has been a dancer since the age of four and just loves Elizabeth's dress. Of course, this is a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. Under the photo Nora Corbett writes: "This design is named for my favorite movie icon. I am so inspired with the fearless, beautiful way she lived her life. She swam with sharks and took wild road trips and truly lived. Please meet Elizabeth".

Hi jerseycrafter - What a beautiful Fall scene. Looks a lot like Amish country here in Ohio. Fall is one of my favorite seasons with all of the lovely colors. I am still working on Whistle Stop by Artecy. I have page 1 of 24 done and working hard to finish page 2. It is sky right now with a number of various shades of blue. Looks great, but not really much to see. I will try to post a picture soon, but my daughter will have to help me. What are you working on?

Jersey, I looked up the Enchanted Alphabet and it is a beautiful pattern as well as Fall Tree. I am currently working on a Maia kit called White Poppy (I think). I also have the backstitching to complete on Santa's Secret, a Dimensions Kit. I seem to have lost a little bit of "wanting" to stitch, hope it comes back as the weather starts to turn colder.

Yes, jersey, I agree about Elizabeth Taylor. What impressed me so greatly was how she kicked husband after husband to the curb - you go, girl, is all I can say.

I am still working on Celtic Christmas. It's a lot more time consuming than I thought but enjoyable. I did tire of all the red. I am now towards the bottom and can use gold and beads - more fun. E.'s skirt reminds me of my project. I have to look up the other two projects you mentioned. How does everyone find time for all these intricate patterns?

Okay, now that I told what I am working on I have to get back to reality and tell you what I have to work on - cleaning my house! :( I'll have a birthday soon and am not spending it in this mess.

I'm still waiting for the E.A. patterns. ECS has not received it from the manufacturer. It's okay, I'll probably won't finish the CC pattern until next spring. The border looks to be very time consuming.

Texas, I am sure Celtic Christmas will be beautiful! Believe it or not, when I made Celtic Spring, once I got started on the border, it actually went pretty fast. It was pretty much "symmetrical". I agree with you when I get "saturated" too long with a color, if I can, I move to an area that is a little different. Good luck to you. WHEN IS YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!??

Oh that Elizabeth pattern is gorgeous!! I adore Elizabeth Taylor too.

I just finished the Dimensions Vintage Sampler Anniversary Record that I was making for my parents' anniversary. So I'm back to work on the project I had been working on before that - Janlynn's Apache Wedding Blessing. Our 15th anniversary for my husband and I is this year so I was making it to commemorate that. My dad read the blessing at our wedding. Or I should say, my dad and mom! My dad got so choked up that he couldn't finish it and she had to step up and finish reading for him. The kit has a shortened version of it, but this is the version they read at our wedding:

Now you will feel no storms, for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no loneliness, for each of you is companion to the other, You are two persons, but there is one life before you, and one home. Turn together to look at the road you traveled, to reach this---the hour of your happiness. It stretches behind you into the past. Look to the future that lies ahead. A long and winding, adventure-filled road, whose every turn means discovery, new hopes, new joys, new laughter, and a few shared tears. May happiness be your companion, May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead; And through all the years to come. Go this day to your dwelling place and enter into your days together. May your days be good and long upon the earth. Your adventure has just begun!

craftydivakat, First....congratulations on your 15th Anniversary! Thank you for sharing this Wedding blessing. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. I can easily see why your Dad got "choked up" trying to get through it.....

I'm working on "Let's be Brave" by Imaginating. I kind of got bogged down by all the quarter stitches, but I got some chenille needles and it's going a lot easier now. I'm also stitching "mouse with Dandelion" and alternating between the two projects.
