That's because, as stated under the description tab, these are NOT DMC colors, but GAST (Gentle Arts Sampler Threads). They are overdyed. If you prefer to use DMC floss, google "Conversion chart GAST to DMC". Then, just lokk up the GAST floss to find the corresponding DMC number.

You may not get the exact look that is shown, because the GAST offen give either a softer, often variegated somewhat, appearance. This chart looks like DMC would be fine....and much less expensive.
