Santa of the Forest
I was thrilled to find this pattern online , and pleased with the prompt service. I originally bought the pattern in New Zealand 20 years ago. At that time marked off on the original pattern instead of making a photocopy or using a pencil This is just a beautiful , too nice to put away out of Season, so Santa is in the hallway until 1st December when he comes into the lounge. He is much admired which is why I am going to make another for a family member .

Ah...you have "hit" on one of my favorite things!! I completed this design about five years ago. I love Lavender & Lace designs. Of anything I have ever stitched...this was my favorite!! I gave it as a gift. I now have the pattern in my stash and just this morning ordered 32 count Weichelt Natural Brown linen (from ECS) for this Santa. This fabric is a little "darker" and more "brown" than the natural linen and has more of an "old" look to me. The picture on the internet of the color does NOT do it justice!! Also...if you go to the Told in a Garden website....Marilyn Imblum explains the complete "profound" meaning of this design. Enjoy!!
