Vickie, If you google: cross stitch thread conversion chart -- you will see different choices. Go to:
Yarn Tree.com. They have a conversion from Anchor to DMC. Hope this helps you!

The only thing is it doesn't give the anchor numbers used in the kit it was all together so there is no way to convert the colors over to DMC thread. And I wrote the company and they was no help at all.

Vickie...really? They don't give the Anchor numbers used? That hardly seems fair!! I have a DMC Needlework Threads Color Card. This is a large 8 1/2 x 11" fold out card. I paid about $12.00 for it. I have used it more than once to match a DMC thread color. If you have never seen it, the color photography is excellent. That would be my only suggestion.

it came numbered on a chart numbers 1 through 22 like that no regular anchor numbers, stating there is enough thread to do the cross stitch but the thread breaks really easy not as good as DMC thread not happy with this kit at all.

I have a DMC thread chart my self I guess I could match the thread from the anchor to it and see how close I could get it to the Anchor thread since they don't have numbers .

Vickie, I would encourage you to do just that! I did it once when a cat that I had "absconded" with some of my threads for a kit. It worked well for me....good luck to you! P.S. YOU are the only one who will know that you did this!!!

Vickie if you check with Cyberstitchers.com they have a conversion chart for their floss to DMC as well as several other brands of floss. Hope this helps.

Hi Vickie,
Please come back and let us know if you were able to match your kit threads up to the DMC Thread Chart you have. It would be good information to have if other stitchers run into the same situation you have. Thanks! :)

dicanf87, You have a good suggestion except from her second post....she says they do not give the Anchor thread numbers. I would think at this point in time, all companies would do that for our convenience!! I wonder if other stitchers have seen kits that do not give thread numbers??

Vicki I agree with jersey. I couldn't be without my DMC colour book HOWEVER the cheapest and easiest solution for you is to purchase Thread Heaven and strengthen your Anchor Threads that way.
