Hello, I logged onto the Mystic Stitch website. I think the quickest way for you to get an answer is to email them at: customerservice@mysticstitch.com. They are in the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 3 pm. (I don't recall that anyone else has posted this design as having completed it....however, it is beautiful!) That symbol could mean different colors on different charts designed by different artists. They are not usually the same from design to design. The two exceptions might be a dot in the center of a square for white and a semi-solid dark square for black. With the other symbols, anything goes.

I have been know to go from one project to the next and confuse myself if the colors are the same but the symbols are different! That's a mistake I've only made once or twice fortuneately because I really don't like to rip out stitches.

The previous poster has the right idea. You need to contact the design company. They are usually pretty good about providing answers.
