finished size
hi there. can anyone tell me the finished size on 32 count linen? i'm new to using linen (this will be my first time!), and i'm not exactly sure how to gauge the finished size. thank you so much!

Hi Cheryl,
The Stitch count of this pattern is 161 wide x 282 high.
On 32 count fabric, going "OVER TWO" (over two squares of the fabric), the finished pattern size would be: 10 inches wide by 17 3/4" high. If you add 3 inches to each side of pattern for mounting and framing, you would need a piece of fabric that is 16 inches wide x 24 inches high.

If you are doing this pattern going "OVER ONE" (over one square of the fabric), the finished pattern size would be:
5 inches wide by 8 3/4 inches high and you add 3 inches each side for mounting and framing you would need a piece of fabric that is 11 inches wide x 15 inches tall.
Hope this helps! :)
To assist you further, their is a fabric calculator here under "Cross Stitch Fabric" title in menu to your left, where you can plug in the numbers and it can assist you. I'm NOT an employee of ECS, but one of the stitchers that saw your "chat" question.

thank you SO much! that makes good sense. i knew about the 'over two threads' part, but i wasn't sure how to factor it, or even if i should.

i really appreciate your explaining it to me. i've been x-stitching for a very long time, but never on linen. i'm so excited to finally be starting. it's just so pretty :)
