What kind of floss do I use for the white part of snowman???
It's saying to use #5 pearl floss. I bought one of these. Do u only use one strand in needle??? And for the rest of the colors, are they just regular floss???

All of the threads are #5 pearl cottons. This will only work if you are stitching on the recommended fabric...18 count linen. If you are stitching on Aida or something else...you will use floss....and the finished design will be smaller

Thank you. I am using 18 count Aida fabric and then I will use regular floss. I'm glad I asked because I would have been stitching this wrong.
It s gonna look cool when finished.

VCESS, so glad that you are back and your great sense of humor!

I like snowmen. I stitched one during the summer once, just the thing to do during this hot season in TX.

Be careful Vcess and Texas....snowman projects can do a "snow job" on you!

Hahaha, Bermuda! Funny you should say that. I got just such a snow job pulled on me. Two stockings for extended family. I'm still working on Celtic Christmas. DH had a little procedure and I was stressed like you wouldn't believe, so I had to frog more than what I stitched. Beads kept slipping from my clumsy fingers..... Had the cross stitch police been here, I would have gotten tickets. Thanks, Nancye, for keeping them away. :)

Hope your DH is doing better. Wonder if any type of a statistical analysis has been done showing a direct relationship between a cross stitcher's stress level and increased "frogging". Send a progress picture of Celtic Xmas when you get a chance.

No, Bermuda, no data exists. They are more interested in other topics. We are just another forgotten minority.

Thanks, DH is doing well - heart cath. No stenting or bypasses needed.

I will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to get it from the iPad to the chat. Any suggestions? I only have the left side border to finish. I say "only" so cavalierly but it is a bear. Too many color/bead changes. I'm guesstimating another couple of weeks. DH has some follow-ups and I have to slowly but surely work through my tax mess.

Try clicking on "post a new chat", then click on "choose file" button below the chat board. Click on take a , " take a photo or video" with your I-Pad and see if it puts picture in your chat message box.

Thanks, Bermuda, you came through again.

I'll try it this weekend. It won't be finished but almost. The left border is very time consuming. 1 1/2 blocks took three hours. I can't focus because I have to get up 50 times to attend to other things. Once the spell has been broken, it's all over. :(
