Hi
Hello. Im planning to come back and do cross stitching after I stopped 7 years ago. Will you help me with this pattern that I like to start with. Is this easy and full cross stitch at all? Thanks.

I'd say it's a pretty ambitious project.

This is a pretty large and ambitious project, I agree with Texas. If you aren't sure about your skills, you might want to try with a smaller beginner kit or pattern. There's a beginner kits section in the site, just click "Cross Stitch Kits" on the menu on the left and you'll find it there.

That said, if you had pretty good skills before, 7 years away isn't that long, and a project like this (I believe it's a cover-all without backstitching or half cross stitches, but you'll want Kristi to confirm that - she's the ECS employee that works on the forum and will be in tomorrow!) wouldn't be super taxing as far as details, it's just the scope of it that would be tough. It might be nice to do something smaller first so you have that satisfaction of finishing. I know when I took a break for a few years I started back with several of the Dimensions Gold Petites kits - they were detailed enough to feel like I was doing nice work, but were about 5 x 7 in size so didn't take long to get done.

Hi Jing,
I agree with Texas Stitcher. This is an ambitious cross stitch project. After being away from counted cross-stitching, do you still have your "stash"?
Kristie who works for Everything CrossStitch can help you about whether this pattern has only full-cross stitches. She usually monitors this "chat" message board.
It is a chart, not a kit, so you will need to purchase your floss and your fabric for this project unless you already have your supplies. If you tap on the Title located under the picture of your cat project it will take you to the next screen that shows all the floss colors you will need to purchase to complete it. Also. Will you be doing this project on 14-count fabric? You can do the pattern on any color or stitch count you want. They suggest a "touch of grey" color 14-count Aida. Do NOT forget to add AT LEAST 2 inches of extra fabric to EACH SIDE when figuring out what size fabric to purchase so that gives you enough room for your completed project to be matted and framed. There is a fabric calculator located under the title of "Cross Stitch Fabric" in the menu to your left and you scroll down to the bottom. Welcome back to stitching. :)

Hello,

Per the Kustom Krafts website, this design only uses full cross stitches and it is a black and white symbol chart. Hope this helps!

I would try starting with something that has a 14count or 18count fabric on it,there are lots of elaborate designs without complicated stitches.
