Ok I am a addict to winter cottage scenes, folks. Guess because I live in the South where that is just a fantasy! I know it will take me a life time to make this project but it will be worth it. I already told my daughter I would leave it to her later on. Love it ,love it . thanks for such lovely designs. Norma King

This is a lovely picture and I know that you will love the Artecy pattern. They are beautifully laid out and easy to work with detailed instructions. I hope you will enjoy working on it. Happy stitching!

I love the look of Artecy patterns. I'll be starting my first one, Victorian Christmas, in a couple days. Can't wait to get stitching!

I just wanted say that your winter picture is very beautiful. I hope one day I can be half as good as you.

Thank you so much to all of you on your replies. And Marthalester, I am not all that sure I am THAT good but as my daughters have told me,"Mom, you just never pick anything easy, you just jump right in and do a hard one." I think I get too bored with too easy ones. Later, Ladies. Norma King

I too love the snow scenes! I especially love them if they have a horse drawn carriage or sleigh. I am actually working on Treasured Times which depicts kids sledding, skating and Victorian era people walking along a winter scene. Something about these type of pictures that calm me and transport me to a more peaceful simplistic time. Warms the heart!
Happy stitching!

Dear Ladyj117, I was so happy to get replies from so many nice people. I agree, those winter scenes are so calming and takes me back ,also ,to when I was fortunate to spend several Christmases in Germany while my dad was stationed there and I could see all those German people skiing and just having fun in that lovely snow. A wonderful sight ,like a Christmas card. I miss the colder climate but here I am in SC. Life takes funny turns, doesn't it? thanks for writing! N.King

Hi, If you haven't yet... check out artist Mark Keathley's designs here on Everything Cross Stitch. He has some winter designs. I have "Evening Romance", "Winter chapel" in my stash. There is one called "carriage chapel" that may appeal to the horse-and-buggy stitchers.
Just type the artist's name in the search box and it will take you there! I do love the winter cabin scenes
To stitch but I don't miss the shoveling, driving through it during my younger working days, etc. That is why DH and I are in South Carolina. We watch the snow coming down on the news! :) Have fun!
I'm not an ECS employee but a stitcher that read your chat!

Dear Burmuda,(
did I spell that correctly?.) Well, I do remember the M. Keathley designs on ECS. I love them ,too. I will certainly go back again and look them up. They are something else! So you are in SC, so am I. what a small world. You are right,it is no fun with the shoveling ,etc. of the snow ,but it is so nice to have a seasonal change now and then. Never have got used to the heat and humidity down South. Oh ,well, at least it is green. thanks for your reply and info . Bye for now.N.King
