WHat is the crushed pineapple, and the other three items listed...is is a speciality thread??? I know that normal thread would not cost $2.20. Also can you order the linen for the background that you stitch on and if so what size is needed to do this pattern?

The threads are hand dyed cotton flosses from Classic Colorworks. There is a DMC conversion given, but it won't have the shadings like the hand dyed.
The suggested fabric shown is listed under the description tab. It is a hand dyed opalescent from Picture This Plus.
