counted cross stitch
Haven't done any for some time but use to have many patterns all adapted from the same artists paintings. Can't remember the name but would love to get some of those patterns back if someone out there knows what I am talking about. All the pictures were of a nostalgic theme. Thanks.

No, it was a woman.

Cory, was that a joke? Normal? How about Norma? :)

Yes, I know it's really Norman Rockwell...couldn't resist. :)

Well, I was going to suggest Thomas Kinkade as many of his cottage paintings and such have been made into patterns, but I'm not sure of any women artists. But I'd suggest looking at Artecy patterns as they have many classic/nostalgic paintings as patterns.

Beverly, I have a suggestion for you! If you click on "Cross Stitch Patterns" in the green search box to our left, it will bring up pattern suggestions. If you click the second tab which is by "designer"...you will see a whole host of alphabetical names of designers. This may joggle your memory! I have found old designs using this search box!!

It may be Marty Bell. Pegasus Originals charted many of her paintings into cross stitch. Many of them are out of print now but there are a small few still sold here at Everything. Since you say nostalgic, I think of Jane Wooster Scott (some are charted by Heaven and Earth Designs but are cross stitch masterpieces to say the least and require experience and great patience and time to stitch) or a similar style like Rockwell that someone said above. I know of many others back from 1980 and later but would need a better idea what the designs looked like. The more info you can give the easier it is for others here to remember and be able to help. Good luck.

What were some of the pictures depicting?

Beverly, Was it Tasha Tudor? Her patterns were mostly of children, I think.
