I have a sickness
There are so many things I want to stitch. Too many things. I will be 45 this year. I wonder how much of all that I will actually get to stitch? Plus I have other hobbies that rear their heads every so often. I wish cross-stitch was my only interest! My life would be so much easier!

The only cure is to keep stitching!! I know what you mean, my wish list is a mile long and I have a tote with patterns and kits waiting to get done.

jsimon, I don't think you are sick at all! I think you are just like the rest of us..."creative". I think the feeling of having a pattern with a fabric waiting lifts our spirits. I know it does mine. Yesterday...I bought the DMC floss for: Angel of the Sea. There are about 30 colors. The pattern called for Blue Wing/Wichelt. I found that it is also called: Amsterdam Blue. I do have it. It is a beautiful sea green (with a hint of blue)...so....at some point I will begin that. Your work is beautiful. Keep on...keeping on!! Wait until you have one of these angels framed. Wow!!! That's when the bug r-e-a-l-l-y gets you!!

Can't wait to see your angel going in! I was looking at the floss colors and your fabric color last night. I think it will be gorgeous! I think the angel is a lot bigger than she appears in the model. I always thought she was the smallest, but now I think differently.

Don't fight it! It's bigger than all of us! The last 2 - 3 years I've turned into my grandmother. She could not sit in front of the TV without some kind of stitching in her hands I thought it was bad enough when I turned into my mother.....according to my husband....but now it's my dear departed granny!

Oh, I hear ya! I have so many patterns or kits already purchased lined up waiting to be done but does that stop me from buying more? Absolutely not! I agree with the stitcher on here that said it's what makes us excited or gives us hope and something to look forward to. I too get interrupted of my stitching when I need to make a crib quilt for someone (not that I don't thoroughly enjoy that too!) To the other stitcher whose Grandmom always had some kind of craft in her hands in front of the TV. My mom and I are exactly the same way. We freak my kids out when we crochet and don't even have to look down at what we are doing! Of course, that is only when we are crocheting. Cross stitching takes a little more looking down at your work! I say if buying counted cross stitch patterns and kits for a rainy day makes you happy, then be happy! Life is too short!
Happy Stitching!

I keep changing my mind about what fabric I want to use. I've cancelled my order twice and just placed it a third time. I decided to go with blue spruce. I'm finally stitching an angel and I'm so happy! I worked on her hair all day yesterday. She has big Dallas hair! I want to stitch so many of the L&L angels! I want to kit them up and get them ready to stitch! I have these nice, heavy plastic zip close bags that I use. I got them from Amazon, I think they are 4 mil. They are just perfect for storing projects.

Ha ha ha. I'm glad to read that it's just not me.

I have so many projects and patterns that I will have to live to 120 years to even get half of them done. Besides cross stitching I also do quilting and I am a puzzle junkie. Believe me don't know how I had time to work all those years before I retired. LOL The only bad part is that my DH passed away 3 years ago so only got to have 2 years of my retirement together. We were married 47 years so I got plenty of "nagging" in before he passed. It is unbelievable how many ladies I worked with that our husbands have died in the last 5 years.

I'm sure I will go first and I have no idea what he will do with all my crap, I mean, hobby supplies. It's expensive stuff. I have expensive tastes.
