Stitching vacation
No, not a vacation from stitching. I'm thinking I will need to take some time off work within the next month or so to spend some time stitching. I haven't been making much progress stitching only in the evenings or on weekends.

Go for it! If you feel like you need a break, you probably do! :)

Strange...never thought of taking off work to just stitch...I always took off to Go...Don't think I ever felt I missed anything by going... Who knows? Might have been better off taking off to stitch! :)

Rosebud,
I love the idea of taking a vacation to just stitch or do other crafts. I actually did stay home once to watch the dogs and my husband and kids went to visit his family. I actually worked on quilting the whole weekend and was able to complete a table top quilt. It was quiet and relaxing just me and the dogs and my crafts! Would love to do it again and just cross stitch then maybe I can make a dent in my stash!
Happy vacation stitching!

That's a lovely idea! I hope you do it! Careful you don't decide you like it too much and don't want to go back to work!

I had a neighbor who would periodically call in sick - mental health day she called it - then she stayed in bed all day and stitched.

I would take leave to clean house back in the day. Never thought to stay home to do crafts. Great idea though.

I'm with you, VCESS, I liked to go.

I work in the mental health field, and it can be pretty stressful to deal with other people's problems all day long. So essentially I would be taking a mental health day!

There is nothing better then taking a day and doing what you love. Stitching is so peaceful. I love the idea!!
