Love this pattern
I am almost finished making this for my daughter who graduated in December with a degree in early childhood education. The primary colors and the hand and heart are just right to express my love for her.

I did make one change. She has always been called "exuberant" in our family. So I changed the enthusiastic in the thumb to exuberant to give it a personal touch.

The only thing I would note is that the pattern calls for Aida cloth. On the "Teaching is a Work of Heart" there are many many quarter stitches. I chose to use a 28 count even weave fabric and had no problems. I always find quarter stitches very difficult on Aida, trying to poke the needle through the fabric.

Hi,
She'll love it! When are you going to give it to her?

I just started the E on Heart. I should finish it this weekend. Then off to the framer, so probably within a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the advice! I plan to stitch this for my teacher daughter during the summer. Would not have known about the quarter stitches! Now I can order fabric that will make my stitching life easier! Thanks to all you stitchers that take the time to pass along your hints!😀

Took my picture to the framer this afternoon. Plain dark blue frame to match the blue threads, no mat. I think my daughter will really like it.
