waste of money
This purchase was such a disappointment. There are no directions for putting it together or how to frame it at all.
It's just a little paper no bigger than a 4 x 5" greeting card. For the price I paid, I expected more--at the very least, instructions for how to finish it.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

If anyone knows how to finish this, please let me know.

Well, if it were me, I'd google heart cut out templates, and print one out that was the right size to create the ornament. I'm surprised they didn't include that in the pattern actually; these kinds of patterns usually do include that. Anyway, after printing it, I'd cut it out and use it as a guide to cut out the heart shape from cardboard (make sure you use acid free cardboard; you can get a ph testing pen at craft stores, or you can use supplies designed for scrapbooking). Then I'd carefully glue my work to the heart. You'll have to snip the shape out of the fabric to be able to turn it over and wrap the fabric around the back. Then I would use a piece of scrapbook paper, felt, or fabric and cut out a matching heart to be the backing piece, cut a piece of ribbon to be the hangar, and glue on the backing, sandwiching the ribbon in the middle for hanging. Once that had all dried, if I wanted the look of the wrapped heart, I'd glue a thin piece of ribbon around the outer edge.

I've made lots of cross stitch ornaments over the years, and this is a pretty common finishing technique.

Happy to help! If you want any visuals, you can check out my instagram page here: https://www.instagram.com/craftydivakat/

If you scroll back to december, I took pictures of some of the ornaments I've made over the years and several use that finishing technique. It really is a shame that they didn't include directions in your pattern!

LOL VCESS, I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant to scroll back on my Instagram page (the link I posted!) I took a picture a day for the couple of weeks leading up to Christmas of ornaments on my tree that I'd made in previous years :)
