Meddle Not In The Affairs Of Dragons - COMPLETED!
A friend of mine downloaded the pattern for me yesterday and I had the fabric and floss, so started this one for my young friend who is partial to greens and blues. Also wanted to show you the perfect portion packs I mentioned earlier for floss storage in case anyone is interested. The pattern is in black and white, you have to choose your own colors. This one was on Etsy.

I like the colors you've chosen and you stitch quick! I saw this in black and white but like it better in the greens and blues you are using. Very cool.

Hi Gabriel,
Thank you, I love the colors too. Since it's for a 10 year old, it had to be a little bit "whimsical". I hope this fits the bill. Anyway it's been a lot of fun. I confess to burning a little midnight oil to get it done so quickly. Now, on to the border.

Wow, looks awesome! I know my nine year old would love it too!

Thank you. This is very easy to work up. I bet he would love it too. I think another friend of mine is going to help me turn it into a pillow when the border is done. So I might take one last picture and post it then. Glad you liked it.

Thanks Bluejay for the info re this pattern. I went to Etsy and it was easy to download. Will stitch it for my 10 year old grandson. As most boys his age he has the right sense of humour to appreciate it! And I too am amazed at how quickly you stitch (and still have time to post)!😀

Thank you! I hope he enjoys it. This was abnormally fast as I am house sitting without a lot else to do. Word of caution on the top border - add a few more rows between the words and the border, maybe three. I hope you will post work-in-progress pictures. If I can help in any way please let me know. Happy Stitching!

OK, this is all finished, apart from being made into a pillow. Two things worthy of note for anyone wanting to do this piece...

First, leave another three rows blank at the top between the border and first line of words to balance the amount of space with the bottom. I realized this too late. (Ooop, just realized I repeated that. But its important.)

Second, I altered the border slightly. In the pattern the design is a little bit more arbitrary. This was just personal preference on my part. Anyway, there you have it!

Great job, Bluejay! I am just waiting on a piece of fabric from Chromatic Alchemy (amazing tie-dies) then I'm going to get started! What are you up to next?

Hi murillome,

Thank you! The fabric you are waiting for sounds intriguing. I can't wait to see your interpretation of this design. Please post as you go. One of the projects is a Wedding Blessing. Its here somewhere I think. I was posting updates before I got sidetracked by the dragon.

I am cat sitting, or rather, the cat is sitting on me, so I am a bit slowed down at the moment.

I am also working on another patchwork. I am in process of a square with all of the dragons colors, in the style of the border. My friend wants vibrant colors so I am trying to keep that in mind.

Have a nice afternoon. 😃

Wonder how it would look on a t-shirt or sweatshirt, no border.
