Converting a pattern to Afro American colors
I have a Backsides Birth Announcements pattern by Linda Jary that I would like to convert to feature an Afro American baby. Any suggestions on what colors to use?

One of the colours to try is DMC 3064. If that works, then work the shading around that.

I just happen to have a Precious Moments pattern book with a cute African American baby in it!

DMC Floss:
The skin color is 407 (Desert sand-Dark)
The eye colors are 938 (Coffee Brown-Ultra Dark) and 434 (Brown-Light) The main color is the dark one and the lesser color is the light.
The hair is 3371 (Black Brown

There's a note at the bottom of the chart saying to use 3 strands of floss when stitching the hair.

Hope this helps.
