Very nice. I like how you did all the outline first and are now filling in. Did instructions tell you to do the outline first? It seems easier but most of the instructions I get say do all cross stitching first but then sometimes it is hard to get the needle through to do back stitches.

This is going to be very pretty when you have finished it.

Hi lady thanks for your interest.

It was my decision to do the black first because if there would be less to frog if I made a mistake. This is "Spring" so I'm looking forward to doing the other three seasons that came on the same chart which was a freebee that came with a cross stitch magazine along with a bracket. It's really old.

The black was the worst part. The colors are the icing on the cake. You are doing such beautiful work.

Mary, it is lovely. The colors are so pretty. Maybe you can do each one in the season you are in. It will be so much fun to see this project evolve to completion.

This is beautiful. I love stained glass patterns. Can't wait to see more.

Thanks Bluejay. Yes I am planning of doing one for each season and they'll take their turns hanging in my front hall.

This looks really nice. Love the colors. Is it on 14 count? You do quick work. Wish I could work that fast.

Hi djhmom, yes it's on 14 count. Thanks for your interest. I'm not quick just boringly average. I read once that the average is one square inch per hour on 14 count but, I ask myself, how many colours does that include?
Posted by: MaryJoDenmark on 04/02/17
You're right, Mary. It really depends on how detailed the square is. A 10 x 10 grid of a solid color would work up much faster than a grid square with 8 or 10 symbol and color changes. Nevertheless, this piece is looking beautiful. Keep up the good work, as quickly or as slowly as you want!
