ECS offices will be open tomorrow at 8:00. I would suggest you either give them a phone call or use the customer care button at the top of this page and ask your question regarding how much fabric to buy. When they put up this brand new format on the chat board they forgot to put in the fabric calculator but will fix that very soon I am sure. I use it every time I order fabric just to make sure my calculations are correct. If you leave a message at the top they will get back to you very soon. They have a super customer service department.

Hello,

Does the pattern you have state the design will be 23-1/8w X 44-7/8h? If so, then in order to get the correct fabric piece, you will have to add your inches to those numbers for your border/framing. I always round up so if your design is 23-1/8w X 44-7/8h , then me personally, would say it's 24 x 45 and then add my bordering inches to those. I like to give myself 3 inches around (some do 6 so it's up to you as the stitcher) so add 3 to the 24 and you get 27 and add 3 to the 45 and you get 48, so I would need a piece of 14ct. fabric AT LEAST the size of 27" x 48" or bigger depending on how it's cut.

If you know your stitch count of the design, you can use this handy fabric calculator to get your dimensions as well. I use this one all of the time and it works out really well:

Hope this helps!
