SUGGESTION TO ECS
Most of us understand that ECS cannot possibly carry all of the supplies for all of your patterns.

When the supply list is posted it would probably be helpful to add a disclaimer or a notice that says something like:

The designer of this pattern suggests that you use a particular fabric; or the pattern calls for other items that you do not carry.

Still list the items that you don't carry. Just make sure that information is available.

That way the customer will not be disappointed when he or she does not receive all of the supplies.

I would like to add a suggestion also - please inform the customer when a pattern is not available. I ordered "Enchanted Alphabet" many months ago. Along with the pattern I ordered all the supplies. I received the supplies but no pattern because it is out of print. If you know that it is out of print and have no idea when it will be available again then make the customer aware. Who wants fabric and floss without the pattern. It's a waste of money and time.

Why aren't email notifications of posts sent any longer? I have the checked the box several times - nothing. Your new format is not an improvement, it's a huge inconvenience. All this scrolling around to try to find something is a waste of time.

And there is no way to tell if you have read it before, or not! Really, if I didn't like the folks in this chat room so much, I would give this thing up as way too much bother! :( The chat format from before WORKED! You had a time of the last poster AND IF YOU POSTED, YOU RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION! It was "user friendly". And I know the notification thing works...I received one on 22 May...but it was removed almost immediately. This thing has become a nuisance more than a pleasurable part of routine. :( Yes, I've run out of patience...at least let us know it will be fixed! Eventually!

Texas Stitcher, there is a stitch shop, Halfmoonstitchery.com .. they had a copy of Enchanted Alphabet in stock...you may want to contact them and see if they still have it if you still need it. Good Luck!

Hey there ladies! Answering this on my day off. Our IS/IT team is aware that notifications aren't being sent and that is being worked on. It is a holiday weekend and graduations are happining this weekend as well so things aren't moving as quickly as everyone would like. Updates and fixes do take a little longer than 24hrs to fix anyways depending on the issue so, please be patient with us. As for updates with the website....I love that suggestion, NancyeG and that is something that will probably happen in the future with our website but as for now, we are just focused the new format and getting the bugs fixed for that. I'm super hopeful that those suggestions and ideas will be added into our next phase of the website :) Thank you everyone and I hope you all had a pleaseant holiday weekend!

Thanks , Kristi! :) Sometimes old biddies just have to vent. :) I feel much better sharing that frustration...I'm sure you would like to share a little, too! Thank you very much for listening and understanding my impatience...I just miss the easy camaraderie. :) You guys do your stuff...I'll chew some nails...and practice...

I totally understand your frustrations. I too get frustrated due to not getting response notifications because I have no way of telling if I have answered someone or not or if someone has responded to me without going through and rechecking majority of the posts on here. So, I definitely sympathize with you and know where you are coming from. I can honestly tell you that Troy and our IT team have a list of things that they need to fix and work on right now and they are working on things one item at a time. Some fixes are bigger than others so it will take a bit to get things done and corrected and it seems we are always adding onto the list for them :( I appreciate everyone's patience and I know that once we get all of these bugs fixed with the new format, they are then going to focus on updating some of the website such as the fabric calculator, images and supplies...so those things are coming, I just don't have an ETA for you guys yet. I will keep you all posted (as usual) and I love hearing your all's feedback and suggestions!! This one that Nancye G posted about is something that I have been wanting for the website for a while now so fingers crossed they can get it done for us :)

Thank you, Native, I really appreciate it. I'll check it out this evening. Our GD is "graduating" from first grade today and I am waiting for my iron to warm up! :)

VCESS, no need to apologize. I totally agree with your original comment. I'm a firm believer in "don't bite the hand that feeds you". I kicked the German Deli to the curb because they always had a reason why they were right and I was wrong. Then they suggested other brands because they were out of stock of things for months at a time. They only posted favorable comments, never one from a dissatisfied customer. One of the dweebs that works there actually suggested that I recheck the box the crap came in to make sure I hadn't overlooked the item. They forgot to pack it. Even if I had, which I didn't, a gracious company would suck it up and apologize. I had some issues with a product from Hayneedle and another with Amazon. Totally awesome customer service. No platitudes - they resolved it. It's them, not us! LOL
