Need additional floss for this kit
My mother is stitching this kit and has already run out of some threads. Is it possible to buy an additional thread kit or to find a way to match the thread in the kit with DMC thread? This is a perennial problem with her! She has run out of thread on every kit she has ever made and I spend a lot of time trying to find and match the floss. Help!!

Hi,
Are the threads your mom is using Anchor threads? You might want to call the manufacturer and request more thread if possible. Most manufacturers have a phone number on the kit. Also, that is one reason I do NOT do cross stitch kits anymore; because they short you on thread and/or fabric piece is too small. I thought that there was a website that one of the regular ladies on this message board knew of that had conversion chart. Let me know if they are "Anchor" threads and I can find conversion.

Look at the chit-chat message by "mdrwolf" titled "old embroidery floss colors" with the message date 11/16? The message has a website that "mdrwolf" put on it that might help you convert thread colors...

My mom and the floss are in Seattle and I'm in Portland! She couldn't find any info in the kit about the thread and she just gets so upset about it I can't push her too much. I'll have to look the next time I'm up there. Thanks for the tip, tho!

Hi again,
I found a Dimensions website since the pattern is by Dimensions. Below I listed two e-mails addresses
you might want to use to contact the company about extra floss for your Mom's pattern. Hope this helps!

customerservice@eksuccessbrands.com

OR

dimensions4u@colray-crafts.com.

Thank you so much! I've sent off e-mails and also found a conversion chart for Dimension to DMC.

If you go to the website cyberstitchers.com you will find a conversion chart for Dimensions floss to DMC floss. I keep a copy of this chart in my binder that I keep patterns. I rarely buy kits anymore. I just buy patterns. Hope this helps.
