Well......we are escaping tomorrow morning!!!
Since my husband's serious illness in February we have stayed "pretty close to home". Tomorrow morning we have reservations on the Cape May Ferry to travel to Lewes, Delaware. We love to antique shop!! I have researched where we should go to do some of that!! We will leave early tomorrow morning, have breakfast in Cape May at a "Staller Restaurant" and then catch the Ferry. I am so grateful to God in Heaven that my husband feels well enough to do this trip. I know that "faith" is a very personal thing to all of us.......but.....when they were placing two stents in my husband's heart in February (while I waited for three hours!!) I had plenty of time to know where my trust was placed. I am attaching a photo for you to see this outstanding Ferry Ride that we will take!!!! Have a great day everyone!!!!

jersey, how nice for you both to be able to go on this outing. I'm hoping and praying that DH's outcome will be as favorable as your husband's. Heaven knows we need to get out but he tires so easily. We requested a wheelchair yesterday at the hospital. He had to go for a series of tests and traveling those corridors is like going on a marathon when one is old and sick.
Good luck anitiquing. Perhaps you'll acquire an Antiques Roadshow piece. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I love the East Coast so much. Eat some crabs for me.
Have fun and be safe.

jersey - quite a few years ago when my daughter and son in law lived in Cape May we did the trip on the Lewes Ferry. What a fun time it was. Cape May and the area are one of my most favorite places and hope at some point before I get too old to return. I love the shops in Cape May itself. I hope you and your DH have a great day and the fresh air is good for both of you. We are going for the w/end to Lockport, NY for the graduation from high school of our youngest grandson. Only one more grandchild in high school now. Where did those years go? I have you both in my nightly prayers while I am stitching and will continue to do so. Have a great day!!!

What wonderful news! I hope you two have a great time.
I remember the day that I got my stent (1979). Now, very single day, I ask God to bless my doctor and thank Him for each day. Without the stent, I would have missed seeing great-grandkids.
I am really glad that DH is doing well and enjoys this trip!
