hours spent on stitching.
How long do you stitch on average per day? How much do you think age has to do with it?

At least 2 hours a day if I am lucky. It is a treat for me if I get all my housework or exercise done for the day. I could sit and stitch all day and never do any work and be happy but then I would feel guilty. My husband can't understand that stitching is pleasure to me, not a chore.

How much stitching I'd like to do, and how much I actually do are two different things! I try to get in an hour, maybe two, if I'm lucky. We are retired, and constantly on the go! I have never been so busy! Sometimes, I just have to say "I think I want to stay home today." :) How about you?

......about 3 hours a day. If I stitch for longer than that I begin to make mistakes, get side tracked and it doesn't feel so special which is loosing the whole point of it.

Like saintsgal we are retired yet have never been so busy!
I haven't stitched since we migrated north this past May, usually too tired from house/yard obligations. But when I do stitch I will usually do about 4 hours a day.

Retired???? Hubby is but I'm a house wife so don't see retirement on the cards.

One of our former neighbors and his wife retired within the last few years and I think they are seriously considering selling their house. Their children are up and grown so just the two of them in a large house. The neighbor says he's getting tired of doing the maintenance on the house, cutting the grass, etc. I hinted that whether one lives in a condo, townhouse or even a small home, there will Always be maintenance.

I could stitch all day. I have a beautiful floor frame and correct lighting and seating. HOWEVER, that thing called a job gets in the way of the stitch hours.

I stitch in small bursts throughout the day with one longer session at night, so on average I'd guess 4-5 hours probably, if I combined all the small bursts... I think age doesn't have anything to do with it. I think it's more, whether your stitchy bug is visiting and how long it stays. LOL.
